Hi sugarplums
Last year at this time our first flower to come up from the land was stock(mattihola). I’ll never forget our very first flower. It was magnificent. It smelled amazingly spicy, you know how they do. But I’ll have to be honest with you I had never seen one before. Or I had but I never payed close attention. It was wrapped up in it’s sleeve on the street corner. Anyway we never sold much stock last year. I convinced myself that it wasn’t good enough. I was chicken shit of getting rejected by flower shop owners.. Little did I know we grew some of the best stock ever.
We grew them in our soil blocks and left them out of the land for longer then we or they wanted. I think that’s when I started to think oh crap these guys are gonna be stunted, tiny, shitty. Turns out this series is tough as nails and it bounced all the way back. It has more heat tolerance too then other stocks. I have learned from these flowers and from sammy to never give up on a plant. Have patience. They sometimes surprise you and recover from horrible treatment . They need time to lay their roots. During this time they might appear kind of unhealthy on top.
So here we are now one year later and stock is back. We harvested mass amounts and took them down to the city for our first market Not so shy this time around we are actually selling our beautiful flowers.
It’s the best crop ever!
